For the past 12 years we have been working with local communities in Myanmar to develop creative and focused ways to invest in people, ideas, and social care. This has been a challenging process but something that we have been working toward for a long time. Over the course of our 12 years of work with the Myanmar people, it became clear that we needed to create sustainability focused projects. This means that we are working on projects that matter to the people they impact and in doing so,we are helping create viable options for support from the outside world. In order for these projects to survive, they need to be culturally appropriate and relevant to the actual needs of the people. That is why relationships are vital to the success our organization. The strength of Bridges Myanmar is in our foundation of a long term relationships and trusting partners. This can only happen with time, and that is why we believe in the importance of strong and lasting relationships as a primary focus for all that we do.
